ERASERHEAD CON PEDRO
As a Sound Design course assignment while attending graduate school, I was tasked with excerpting a sequence from a favorite existing film and totally replacing the film's soundscape with one of my own configuration. I chose as my film David Lynch's "Eraserhead" (already equipped with a unique and powerful soundtrack), and for this exercise replaced all music, dialogue, sound effects, and environmental ambience with new audio of my own design, including the replacement of all character voices with my own dialogue performances. Additionally, I used this same sequence for a separate grad school compositing assignment wherein I was tasked with inserting a new character into existing film footage using Nuke compositing software. Thus my brief cameo --as a 6'8" Mexican in a poncho and sombrero --here within Eraserhead’s dining room scene.
